College - Books, Supplies & Aids

I am a disabled combat veteran and my wife Heather is my caretaker. We are back in college! What a blessing!
However, we are not yet receiving education benefits and we have not received financial aid. Disability and medical retirement are our only sources of income so making the choice to go back to school, rapidly, means we need books, art supplies (both Art Majors), handicap aids, 1 laptop (we will share), an easel, a portfoloio or 2 since those may be hard to share and we think that's about it. We have figured out how to share some things and some books, but it is still a hardship to endure until our benefits come in.
Any help to get us started would be so greatly appreciated. Know that you would be making a huge difference in the life of a veteran who served honorably for 19 years, and I have literally given everything other than my life for our Country. I have 23 different medical issues and 21 of them are combat related.
I just finished a program to helop me with my brain injury and some emotional scars and that is what is allowing me to go into public, to go to school and to try to get some life back. Or maybe it is just that I will find a new life. Either way, this is my hope for my future and for my wife that she may have a husband to be proud of again.
