As some of you may have heard, we are all sad to know that Secrets Wigs is closing. We are wishing Maria all the best and after spending much time talking it over, I decided to keep the energy of Secrets alive, while merging with the Whips n Furs brand to create something new and super exciting!! This is all super sudden and I can really use YOUR HELP to get things up and running and have a successful start! I'm BLACK, I'm QUEER, and I'm an ARTIST! I am extremely passionate and eager to get to WERK!
San Diego is in need of a resource for theatrical quality make up and costume accessories! There are ZERO costumes stores in San Diego currently and as a local drag queen and full time entertainer, I feel the time has come
We plan to carry familiar stage and special fx make up brands such as Graftobian, Ben Nye, Kryolan, Mehron, Wolfe FX, Woochie and more. As well as costumes, accessories, wigs, heels- YOUR ONE STOP SHOP!
My stage name is Vivvi the Force. I am a local stage performer and event curator, creating spaces for LGBTQI+ community memebers and artists to gather, collaborate and grow their visions into reality.
I grew up in San Diego and have spent some time living and working in San Francisco. I worked at a renowned year around costume store in the famous Haight/Ashbury district of SF for 3 years. Halloween was always my favorite time of year.
One of my favorite things to do is to help others prepare for their next show, party or collab! I am excited to open this dream shop and to offer my assistance to those new to the make up world and to experienced folks needing a place to pick up supplies.
I plan to throw workshops, collab with other artists, help fundraise whenever possible and keep this city inspired to create!!!
With your help I can get things started off right!! I need some funding to get my inventory going, business operating equipment and some help recovering some of the fees associated with opening.
