Wheelchair Fencing World Championships

Mid-South Fencers' Club and Bridge II Sports of NC are proud to announce that one of their Wheelchair Fencers, Mia Ives-Rublee, has been nominated to compete as part of the national US Wheelchair Fencing team at the Wheelchair Fencing Championships in Budapest, Hungry from Aug. 3 - 13. Unfortunately, the U.S. Paralympic Comittee or US Fencing Association will not be fully funding the team to attend. Due to numerous medical bills and other disability related expenses, Mia is unable to pay the full amount to compete.

Expenses include:
Airport Ticket and Baggage fees: $1,600 from RDU International Airport to Budapest, Hungry
Airport to Hotel and return: $32.00
double room $800
lunch for 8 days at $10 per day $80
Equipment: $200
Total: $2712

All donations are tax deductable and will go into Bridge II Sports 501(c)(3) Fencing Fund.

Thank you to all who decide to donate. There are a few rewards for individuals who donate a certain amount. Remember that every donation counts!
