A leader in Urban Ministry with nearly 120 years of experience, Westminster Presbyterian Church and its 501c3 Westminster Community Life Center offer unique opportunities to contribute to the welfare of the City of Trenton. The Get SET program has provided after-school tutoring and mentoring for children in the City's public elementary schools for the past 25 years. Local college students and various community members serve as volunteers. This September more than one hundred backpacks were distributed during the annual beginning-of-school carnival held on the front lawn. In addition, fun family activities are sponsored throughout the year. Our two community gardens provide food for our neighbors and nutritional learning opportunities for students.
Our social justice activities include active participation in the Trenton Chapter to End the New Jim Crow and the Mercer County ReEntry Task Force; leadership in various local and regional initiatives; and sponsorship of The English School for city immigrants.
Your generous support will help to maintain, strengthen and enhance these endeavors in the coming year.
