<div>As the new school year approaches, and amidst the severe economic hardships faced by our families, we reflect on the summer camp we organized for the children- a camp that taught us so much about the hope and resilience shining in their faces. Now, with the start of the

<div>school year, an urgent need has emerged to support them.

<div>During the summer camp, we witnessed the joy of the children despite the very limited resources available. Yet, with schools reopening, many of these children face the painful reality of starting the academic year without a school bag or even the basic supplies they need. Beyond the economic challenges, these children also endure the constant threat of settler violence in the seam zones. Some of them face harassment and intimidation simply on

<div>their way to school, making education itself a daily act of courage and steadfastness.

<div>This is why we launched the "Bags of Sumud" initiative. Our goal this year is to

<div>reach 500 boys and girls from villages in South Bethlehem who are living under difficult economic conditions. Most of their families are farmers and workers, and many live right next to settlements where they are exposed to ongoing risks and pressures.

<div>Each school bag costs only £20, and includes all the essential stationery items-exercise books, pens, colors, geometry tools, and a water bottle_ everything a student needs to

<div>begin the school year with dignity and confidence.
</div>

<div>What makes this initiative even more special is that the bags are being produced locally in Hebron. This means that, in addition to supporting children, the campaign also strengthens the local Palestinian economy and small family-run factories.
