To my dear neighbors, friends and family: As you may or may not know, it's been my partner John-Scott's passion and lifelong dream to be a professional musician. He has been working ever so diligently on producing his very first album, titled "We Were Never Here." While most of us rarely see the behind-the-scenes toil of an artist making their art, I witnessed firsthand how hard John-Scott has worked to make his dream steps closer to reality. Working 6 full days per week, John-Scott wakes up in the early morning hours prior to his 8:30 am workday to get sessions in with his composer, Julian Cassia (who is Italy-based). He works late into the night (after taking care of his familial duties with me and our son Chewie) to ensure that progress is made on the making of his music.

I watched him over the course of the last 3 years, strumming his guitar and sitting outside, writing lyrics, coming up with songs—so many of which turned out to be songs about me, and for me. As his partner, I'd like to help him turn his dream into a reality—or at least give it our best shot. What he needs is our support, and as of right now, it's in the form of funding. Producing an album, as I'm learning, requires a huge upfront investment, one that is currently out of reach for John-Scott and many other artists.
