Help support the Linn Family

Donation protected
On Memorial Day, 2014, Bill Linn was involved in a farming/mowing accident at his home in Claypool, IN. While we are not sure of the exact details leading to the accident, we are certain that our community and friends can pull together and rally around the Linn family during this time, to offer support and help with these unforseen medical expenses.

Here is an update on Bill’s situation from Christa (Bill’s daughter.r) “My family and I would like to thank everyone for their support and continuous prayers. It has been a long road since Monday afternoon, but we are at a point where we can feel a sense of peace with Dad's progress. We are not 100% sure what happened, but we think that dad got run over by his tractor. In the accident, he severed his left arm just below the shoulder and he received multiple fractures such as broken ribs, a crushed pelvis, a broken tailbone, and a broken leg. Once admitted into the hospital, he was rushed into surgery having approximately 4 pelvic bleeds that were finally stopped around midnight Tuesday morning. During the time of his admittance, he was given approximately 20 units of blood and on Thursday when he had his pelvic surgery, he only received 1 unit of blood. The docs originally told us that he could breathe on his own, but they have kept him on the ventilator so that his body doesn't have to work as hard. Dad went 4 hours today without the respirator and the docs plan on taking him completely off the respirator once his surgeries are over, (setting his broken leg, and closing up his lower back wound and his arm wound). The docs have him resting comfortably and periodically ease up on his sedation, during those times he responded appropriately to "blink your eyes 3 times if you can hear me", etc. Every day, dad appears to be getting a little better. I personally feel that every day is a blessing and that our father has a lot living to do. Thank you all for your support, love and friendship; there will be more updates to come.”

It has been a little over a week and Bill is currently in the ICU in critical condition. Please keep Bill and his family in your prayers. His wife Georgette, daughter Christa (husband – John, and their children Cate and Allie) and son Jimmy (wife – Amber) could all use your support. I can’t even begin to describe how strong Bill and his crew have been through this ordeal. They are an amazing group of people. This page, as well as the “Support for the Linn Family” Facebook group will serve as a means of keeping everyone updated on Bill’s progress. Please help us rally around this great man and his incredible family as Bill has a long road ahead of him. Any donation big or small will help!
