The Watson's International Adoption

Welcome to our journey!!! We are the Watson Family. Justin, Jennifer, Zoe and Xander. Currently we are in the midst of an International Adoption of a sibling group out of Moldova. (Between Romania and the Ukraine) We have been approved to adopt anywhere from 2-4 siblings (brothers/sisters). We would be honored if you would join us on our journey throughout this adoption process as we try to keep a group of siblings together.

We had been discussing and praying about adopting for a couple of years when had the pleasure of hearing some of the stories of life in the orphanage system from a group of missionaries called The Orphan’s Hands. We knew at once that this was a sign from God telling us that this is what He wanted us to do and where He wanted us to adopt from. We immediately started the application processe and it’s been a whirlwind of activity since.

We were recently informed of a group of siblings that have been in the orphanage system their entire lives. The only chance they have to get out of the system is through international adoption and we are pending approval for our match with them.

The funds that we raise will be used to help supplement the cost of the adoption process, as it is quite large. All funds will be applied towards the adoption fees (both domestically and internationally) as well as travel costs to/from Moldova.

We have been  amazingly blessed throughout this adoption process so far, as the time-frames in this process have been moving along at an astonishing rate. The only downside to this is that the hefty price tag of adopting several children at once is due much sooner than originally expected. As a result of this fast paced process, we may be blessed enough to have our new children home with us as early as late this summer.

So far throughout this process we have discovered how truly blessed we are to have friends and family, both biologically and through the church and surrounding community that are supportive and excited for us. As much as we’ve tried to do this on our own, we’ve come to realize that it truly is and should be more of a group effort. We’re not just growing our family, but we’re adding to our community, our church and our personal ministry.

Any support that you would be willing to offer would be greatly appreciated as not only would you be helping relieve the stress of a significant financial burden, but you would also be showing these children that not only does their new Family wish for them to be here, but so does the entire extended community. We are not solely asking for financial donations. As we bring these children home, they will be exposed to a culture that is foreign to them. As native Romanian speakers, there will be a significant learning curve and language barrier to overcome. Your continued support and prayers are more valuable to us than you would believe.

This isn't just a journey of our family, but a ministry that we hope will bring our family, community, friends, neighbors and these children closer together under the protection of His love.

Thank you for your prayers, support, well wishes and Love. We are truly blessed to be part of a community of loving and caring people that are as excited as we are to bring these children into our lives.
