Walking For CRY
Hi everyone, my name is Anto Hegarty. I'm walking the Camino (French Way) in memory of my sisters Grace and Clarissa, who we have sadly lost to Sudden Cardiac Death. The walk takes place from 16th to 23rd September 2017.
The charity I am supporting is CRY (cardiac risk in the young). They provide support for families affected by sudden cardiac death (SADS) and patients diagnosed with potentially inherited heart diseases.
They also raise awareness of SADS and also support the CRYP centre, which is a cardiac screening centre. This centre is a free service being run from Tallaght Hospital since 2008. CRY does not receive any direct funding from Government.
I'm funding the cost of the trip myself and all money raised will go to CRY.
