Adoption fund

Donation protected
Hi friends and family, just wanted to invite you to participate with me in raising money for one of my sister's and her husband's adoption fund. They have done several fundraisers, been saving, and many have already donated. However, they are still short, and are asking God to provide.

Thank you so much for any support you are able to give, whether it be prayers, financially, or in whatever way you feel led. Thanks, and please feel free to PM or get ahold of myself or my family if you have any questions!

Here's the adoption story in their own words:

Whelpley...party of 4...

We have heard stories of people adopting children quickly but that has not been our story. Zeke's adoption process took 3+ years. We've been in the process of our South African adoption over two years and are waiting for a placement. So quick adoptions haven't been our track record until... January 12th when we got a phone call about a 13-month old little boy who needed a forever family. The agency worker said, "I know you are in the process of adopting from South Africa, but as we prayed for this little boy, you guys came to mind, would you consider it and pray about it?" Our immediate response was, why would we say no? We have asked God to bring our children TO us. So we decided to open our hearts and home and trust the Lord to close the door if it wasn't right.

Well instead of closing, the doors flung wide open and fast forward to February 13th...WE BROUGHT HOME OUR SECOND SON. It is already so evident that God has purposed our boy to be in our family. We are so delighted and full of joy about our new addition. For now, we cannot post pictures on social media and we have to be vague about his name, but we are smitten with this little guy.

So what about South Africa? After a six-month transition, our names will go back on the waiting list for a South African placement.
We still can't believe God's goodness and that this is OUR story… The Lord is faithful to work justice, miracles and amazing acts of providence on behalf of the fatherless. We feel so honored that we are the recipients of this big blessing in a little body. "Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus." Ephesians 3

Lastly, we are grateful for his precious birth mom who is really the unsung hero of this story. Please be praying for her and for us as we transition to a family of four and a household of 6, including Isaiah's mom and our international student, Andy. Who knew the Lord would double our family size in just a few months?! Wow, only God can do that!

With this unexpected blessing, comes another large, but totally worth it adoption expense. We are finding ourselves needing over $22,000 to finalize our newest son's adoption. We ask that you would consider partnering with us to care for the fatherless by contributing to our Go Fund Me account that Kat's sister set up, or making a tax-deductible donation HERE.
