VolunteerGo is starting a social good crowdfunding website to help people volunteering abroad build
campaigns to raise their expenses. Projected launch date: Mid-summer 2013.
In 2007, 1.1 million people volunteered internationally. That is less than one person for every 6,000 on the planet. What would it look like if we took a more proactive stance and provided greater support to people interested in helping our world in this way? Many of the people interested in volunteering overseas don't do it because THEY can't create the funding. This is exactly what VolunteerGo is all about; making the possibility of people helping all over the world more accessible. Imagine the "Ripple Effect" of just one volunteer serving in a way that drastically improves or saves a life. Now multiply that one volunteer by the thousands of volunteers that can NOW go create this kind of change because they have the means to get there.
I am PJ Harris and I am the sole brain and engine for the startup company VolunteerGo. My volunteer experience includes Native American environmental justice and health care for those in need. I LOVE to be of service. I have over 30 years experience in the administrative sector of business as well as over 15 as an independent business owner. Both of my businesses were service oriented and one was in the holistic health field. I am excited to use my superpowers towards good.
Our mission is to make a positive impact on our world by supporting volunteers serving abroad. We offer an easy and fun way to help global volunteers:
