Help Be A Voice For K9 Rex Fund

It is with a heavy heart to announce the sudden passing of Coastline K9 founding Community best friend, and my Service k9 REX. At this time we are investigating and have great evidence that his rapid Death is connected with a Pedigree dog food we used 2 CUPS of on Dec 24th. This was a brand new sealed bag used only to tie over K9 Rex because all of the stores were already closed for the holiday and we could not buy his normal food. On Christmas morning he had vomited all of the Pedigree dog food and was extremely thirsty, drinking for minutes. Rex continued being Rex and happy for half of the day .He was fine and then Rapid health decline .That night upon returning home after only being gone for TWO hours, My wife and I found Rex in his kennel not wanting to move. Rex looked for us with a face of distress asking for HELP. I went over to him to let him out and he was limp. Dead weight. His muscles were spasming ... his jaw was locked shut ... and his eyes began to get cloudy ... he stopped blinking all together. I had to pry his mouth open with a toy to open his airway when he began to have sever labored breathing. As he was in my lap he stopped breathing all together and I immediately administered K9 CPR ... to no avail my best friend and service K9 Rex died. It’s as if he waited for Dad to come home one last time before he died.(He died within 10 minutes of me coming home.) Rex’s condition was not from a previous health condition as he was 6yrs old and great health if you follow our Instagram @coastline_k9 to witness. This was rapid! He nose dived and took his last breath. About 11 pm on the night of December 25th (Christmas) Just so happens that there are no Vet offices open tonight on December 25th .... I immediately took the bag of Pedigree adult dog food and removed it from my home. After further research on the brand which I never used prior...I began researching finding numerous cases of dogs deaths directly related to this same brand.Hundred of international complaints as well. This food has had multiple recalls due to continuance of deaths to cats and dogs. Something is WRONG with this system. Watch the documentary “Petfooled”. We turned to social media and multiple people continued to pour in that their loved ones were actively vomiting ,previously died or currently in the veterinary hospital as I type as a result of eating the same Dog food. As a Former Army Ranger K9 handler and K9 Trainer for Navy SEAL Program I will not back down. This fund is being setup to give a voice and awareness to everyone! The goal is to raise funds for the toxicology , Necropsy testing as this was completely unexpected and I am not prepared for it.

I have been made aware by a some great connections with some time on their hands. That they have found there are already multiple class action lawsuits and that I would be able to file for little to no cost. I am thankful for that. It’s always better with multiple eyes.I appreciate all the support!

Better to die on your feet than to live on your knees.... K9 Rex’s memory will remain the mascot of our Coastline K9 logo and the reason we started this brand. He will be imprinted in our hearts and greatly missed. Rex was only 6 yrs old.Rex offspring survive up and down the east coast as he was a prime specimen. (He was imported from Europe)Thank you and we love you for being apart of this Revolution.Rex is gone, but we can save the others!
