Vincent Ray Alexander Memorial Fund

Vincent Ray Alexander was born on April 8th at 3:44pm, and was called to be with the Lord on April 9th, at 2:26am.

This is my daughter's son.

When he was born, his oxygen content was low, so they went through the normal diagnostic procedures - at first they thought it was pneumonia, then they were suspecting IRDS (Infant Respiratory Distress Syndrome).

Turns out they were wrong. Vincent was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. His left ventricle was not fully developed, and his heart could not carry the oxygenated blood his little body desperately needed.

He was rushed from St. Luke's Hospital to Toledo Hospital where the cardiologist immediately called for him to be airlifted to the University of Michigan. He was taken by Life Flight at around 11pm. He was immediately taken into open heart surgery, which he never recovered from.

He left this earth at 2:26am.

His mother is a nurse's aid, his father is a cook. In addition to the pain and grief they are feeling, they are now becoming aware of the fact that they will not be able to afford the final expenses for my grandson, Vincent Ray Alexander, by themselves.

This fund is to help pay off Vincent's final expenses, and to help provide financial relief for the family during their most difficult time.
