Hello Village Children for Community Service 4th-6th grade Families and Friends,
This year our children have chosen to work with Baby2Baby for our Winter Fundraising Campaign.
We hope that you will be able to donate to this worthwhile cause and we also hope that you can forward this page to your family and friends so that they, too, may have the opportunity to make a difference to these children.
Baby2Baby is an organization that provides essential items to low income families. Through the Baby2Baby 2 The Rescue Bundles program they specifically help children in the foster care program. Children living in foster care are often removed from their homes in the middle of the night, often with only the clothes on their back. There is no time to gather the child's most personal belongings during this traumatic time.
Baby2Baby 2 The Rescue Bundles provides these children with all the basic essentials--outfits, pajamas, towels, shoes, hygiene items--along with comfort items like stuffed animals, cuddle blankets, toys and books. These 2 The Rescue Bundles also allow these children to transfer these belongings in a dignified way. Every month Baby2Baby donates 50 bundles to children in the Los Angeles Foster Care program and our hope is to have our CFCS organization match this goal. The cost to underwrite each of these bundles ranges from $150-$200 but any donation amount is truly appreciated. This Winter our CFCS 4th-6th grade children will be packaging the bundles we have funded for delivery to children in need.
