Dear Friends,
I am excited to share some news about a recording project I have recently begun. As some of you may know, I recorded a CD of my original songs fifteen years ago while living in Minneapolis, MN. Since moving to the Chicago area, I have written many more songs and have had a dream to record again. Finally, it looks like that dream may become a reality! Due to a generous gift of $1500.00 from a donor at Grace United Methodist Church where Dan and I serve in music ministry, I have some “seed” money to begin a project. As a matter of fact, I have completed one song already (you can listen to the attached sample) and have plans to continue recording in August. It has been my joy to serve as the worship leader for our Saturday evening worship at Grace and many of these songs flowed out of my planning and creative expression for that worship experience.
At this point I am trying to raise an additional $3500.00 in hopes of completing a ten-song project. This most likely will not cover the cost of artwork and pressing of a CD, but would be what is needed for the actual recording process. If your response exceeds my basic project, I will be able to cover the printing and reproduction, with the possible addition of instruments to the project itself.
If you would like to contribute to my recording, I would be so appreciative. For any who donate, a free downloadable digital version of my album will be sent once my project is complete.
Thank you for your help! I love to sing and write songs that express my faith and love for the Lord. Putting these songs into an album would mean so much to me. Thank you for any contribution you can make and know that all monies I receive will go toward funding this recording.
