Victor's Medical & Support Fund

I am reaching out to our Coconut Creek baseball family and beyond, hoping that everyone will "share the love" with the Martinez family. As some of you might have already heard, Victor was diagnosed on June 18th with Kidney Cancer. Needless to say, the diagnoses came as quite a shock to everyone that knows Victor. He is such a strong, fun-loving, sweet guy that always has a smile on his face. Fortunately, this was caught in it's early stages. As the doctor said at the hospital, 'G-d sent an angel down to you, as this was caught so early'. 

Please note that Krystal and Victor would greatly appreciate it if you don't speak about this in front of the kids.

Everything has been moving very quickly since the diagnoses. Krystal and Victor met with the UM Robotic Surgeon and Oncologist last week and the doctor will be doing Victor's surgery on July 13th to remove the infected part of Victor's kidney. Victor must pay $2,000 up front in order to have the surgery. This will go towards their $5,700 deductible that they must meet before the insurance will even start to help cover Victor's medical cost for his ER visit, scans, surgery, etc.

Victor always works long, labor intensive hours to help provide for his family, and with the abundant medical cost along with the fact that he will be unable to work for 4 to 6 weeks, only adds to the burden of dealing with their already difficult situation.

For the Love of our baseball family, I felt the need to launch this "GoFundMe" page and reach out to all of you. Donating $5, $10, $20 or more would be sincerely appreciated by the Martinez family.
