Proud, but in need of support
Benjamin L. Northrop is a proud former Marine, husband and my father. Benjamin served in the Marine Corps in Viet Nam, and as a result has been diagnoised with Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma cancer, due to Agent Orange exposure. He is completely bedridden and requires full time nursing care. He is in a nursing facility in Big Spring, TX but has been informed he will be evicted at the end of November 2017. His wife Noreen is 75 yrs old, on a limited income, and struggles to pay her portion of the $1900.00 a month cost of the facility. Medicaid has consistantly reduced what they will cover, resulting in a $7000.00 shortage. The nursing home has given notice it will evict my father if the outstanding balance is not paid.
He Answered the Call
Benjamin answered the call when asked to serve his country, he did so without hesitation, and is now bearing the consequences of performing his duty. He has never complained, nor placed blame. Now it is time for us to answer the call in his time of need. We desperately need help to ensure my father continues to receive the care he needs and deserves.
