                                  "HEADLINES"

"HEADLINES" A group of friends from the future open up a time capsule filled with newspaper articles what do they find? Dancers have the unique task of finding culture specific news worthy issues that have had a major impact on our community. The first slave ship arriving, emancipation proclamation, assassination of Malcolm X and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the rise of Hip Hop, Hurricane Katrina, Trayvon Martin, etc. Through these articles the friends learn about their culture and ultimately their humanity!
