Help Us Help Them
Travis Vella and his family live in Sebewaing, MI, a small town in Michigan. He is married to Jamie Collon-Vella, and they have two children (Caleah 11, Koda 8).
Very recently, he has been diagnosed with mucinous adenocarcinoma, a very rare and serious (they all are) form of cancer. Even identifying specialists with knowledge of this form of cancer has been challenging.
Surgery is scheduled for the immediate term, but their family will require our support as they face the travel, lost income, and overwhelming stress. Hospitalization alone after surgery could last for weeks.
Golf Outing
This outing is planned for 9AM on Friday, August 4. A sit-down lunch will follow golf, and is included. Don't play golf? Join us for lunch, and win gifts from our sponsors and other generous donors!
Sponsorships of holes will provide a way for businesses to publicize their services/products, and to show their support for the community. Every Bit Helps
Most of the time, the Vella family will not be able to reside at their home, because the location of surgery is not nearby. That also means that the ability to work will also be challenged.
All proceeds (after costs) will benefit Travis, Jamie, Caleah and Koda, in many ways. There is the obvious benefit, and there is the unspoken. Even if you do not know them personally, we share a community wider than race, religion, orientation or political affiliation can ever encompass, and that is the human community. Let's show the Vella family that they are not alone.
