Valerie's Voyage (Semester At Sea)

Hello!! My name is Valerie and I have been accepted for an opportunity of a lifetime to study abroad with Semester At Sea. I will be traveling around the Atlantic Ocean to 18 cities in 16 countries for 108 days!

Semester at Sea has been a dream of my ever since my cousin sailed on the Spring 2003 voyage. I have developed a love for service and travel over the years, and this study abroad program will give me the opportunity to do both.

I tried and tried to make this trip happen, but something always got in the way-- lack of funds, lack of support, or just plain life in general. After a bumpy ride, my dream is finally coming true! This trip does more than just visit multicultural and diverse countries, but it also enriches my education because while I am traveling between countries, I will be inside classrooms enhancing my knowledge.

As we all know, nothing so spectactular could come at no cost, so that is why I am asking for your help!

This trip means the world to me (no pun intended) and I would do anything to make it happen. I currently work two jobs and am saving every penny I possibly can. I will do my best possible to match EVERY gift!!
