Vicki's Fight is asking for your help!!
This is an effort to help our dear friend Victoria Walley aka Vicki, someone who has been more than amazing to each and every one of us. She has touched many of our lives in many ways and I am sure that each of you can recall a time in which she has made an impact on your life. Vicki has always taken care of her family, us as friends, our children, and even strangers.
Last week she was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. Today she received news from her Oncologist that this form of cancer is an aggressive tumor growing at a rapid rate of 95%, whereas the standard should be somewhere around a 20% growth rate.
With an aggressive growing tumor comes an aggressive chemotherapy regiment consisting of 3 different types over a 4-6-month period. If the tumor responds to the chemotherapy, there will be possible mastectomy or lumpectomy as well as radiation. This journey for Vicki could take up to one year. Vicki's Oncologist indicated she could receive her subclavian catheter line as soon as Monday, October 8, 2018, in which OUR battle with her to fight breast cancer will begin.
As some of you are aware she has been twice diagnosed in previous years with some form of cancer. This will be her 3rd battle in her 46 years of life here on Earth. This woman has beat cancer 2 times already and I have NO DOUBT she will beat it for the 3rd time!
Vicki has worked for Seabrook Children's Academy for over 15 years. Due to upcoming visits for her condition, missing work is inevitable. She will also incur many expenses over the next year. Examples of expected expenses can include, but are not limited to; gas, tolls, parking, medication costs, loss of wages, doctor and treatment co pays, etc. This will be a stressful journey for Vicki. As I mentioned above she has done so much for ALL of US and this is OUR opportunity to show LOVE and SUPPORT by donating anything possible to help alleviate the stress of these unexpected costs to come.
We accept donations in all forms, whether it be monetary, services or simply your time wherever needed. We ask everyone for continued thoughts and prayers for Vicki and her family during this journey.
