Vision, Art & Faith in Belgium

Donation protected
Two years ago this summer, I left my job, sold all my belongings and set a vision to discover God's Art abroad which led me to 12 countries and 15 cities in Europe and Asia over a span of 6 months. Along my journey (which can be read in my blog here ) I met so many amazing people and fell in love with one country in particular: Belgium.

It's rather difficult to explain my affinity, but all I can say is that it feels like God called me to make that journey just to find this particular country, a new place I can call home to assist in my growth artistically,  professionally and personally. From the melting pot of cultures/languages, to the eclectic cuisine and amazing arts scene, I know this country will continue to grow my artistry and in turn, I will bring my energy and love for movement and cross cultural exchanges.

About 7 months ago, I discovered a work visa called a professional card in Belgium, which allows me to establish myself as a self-employed dance artist. 50 pages later including a business plan, budget, 5 stateside letters of support, 5 belgian letters of support, brochures, reviews, among many other documents, the job and economic department in Brussels approved by business under the name "STU Arts" based in the capital city of Brussels.  They saw my professionalism, hardwork, experience and artistic value and have blessed me with the opportunity to share that with their citizens.

My business, STU Arts is a sole proprietorship that provides broad high quality arts-related services and consultancy. STU Arts focuses on performance, teaching, choreography and arts administration for Belgian independent dance artists, dance companies, and dance and cultural arts organizations. In addition, this business will create and implement its own programming. It will present a unique approach to the methodology and engagement of arts related work for clients and students to “See. Think. and Understand” the Arts, hence STU Arts. Arts entities that have expressed these needsand interest in STU Arts consultancy and programming include Zinnema Talentenhuis, Bouteilles Percutées, On The Roof Dansfestival as well as other artists, dance organizations and programs.

As you can imagine a move across the pond can be quite costly, so I'm asking for contributions of any amount to assist in the relocation fees associated with my move and establishment of my business. Thank you so much for all your support over the past 2 years. This is only just the beginning of a new and exciting adventure.

And Remember: Always have Faith. Keep a Vision. And Make Art in Everything that you do.

With Gratitude,

Briana
