Usama's Emergency Relief Fund

On Sunday, October 8, after leaving the library by Northwestern University's Streeterville campus, our friend, Usama Ibrahim, was physically assaulted and robbed by five individuals who attacked him from behind. These 5 individuals repeatedly punched and kicked him in the face until he was on the ground bruised and bloody. As if this wasn't enough, these cruel people then laughed at him after seeing what they had done and then robbed him of his possessions, including his laptop, phone, and other valuables. 

With the help of a few bystanders, Usama was able to get to Emergency room and came out alive with no broken bones, and we are thankful for this blessing amidst the horrible trauma he experienced.

Although nothing was broken, Usama was badly injured and has incurred medical expenses that are hard for anyone to pay for. He has sustained heavy bruising that will take some time to heal. In addition to his medical expenses, we'd also like to help Usama and his family replace his laptop and phone, especially since he just started law school at Northwestern this fall semester. While we can't turn back time and stop what happened, we can help him and his family out with these unfortunate financial burdens accrued by the assault.
