Urgent Vet Care for Mei

Meet Mei! Mei (which means beauty and luck in chinese) is our little rescue bunny who was found behind Dan Murphy's in Southern River by a lovely couple. They contacted me via my gumtree ad and I soon took her on. She came to me underweight and malnourished (to the point where she was struggling to move around) and we soon found out why.

Mei has a variety of issues which need to be addressed fairly soon, her teeth are quite overgrown and her incisors will probably need to be removed. This is making it hard for her to eat and is obviously quite painful, we are currently having to blend her food to make it easier and less painful for her to eat. There is also a potential abscess just under her eye and her nose is snotty too. On top of all this her nipples are swollen and the cause of this is still unknown.

Mei is currently on meloxicam, norocillian and TMS (which has just run out). She is requiring constant care and unfortunately getting her back to good health is going to be a long and time/money consuming process. All of her known conditions are treatable and there is no reason she needs to be put down!

Mei will need at least 2 surgeries and will need a blood test too, I am not through a rescue at this point in time, so I am having to fund all her vet care all the money will be going into Mei's care, all medicines, surgeries, and aftercare etc. Any excess funds will be donated to a rabbit rescue in Perth, WA. Mei will be put up for adoption once she has fully recovered!

We have had an initial vet appointment, but are going to need another consult to set up a treatment plan etc. We have also already had her groomed as she had matts everywhere, she feels a lot better now!!
