Help support orphanage in Kyajja Uganda

Jenn and Lindy have been working with various groups in Uganda and have organized a project to support an orphanage in Kyajja Uganda that is in dire need of basic necessities to support a clean and learning environment. This includes clothing, school uniforms, shoes, socks, sweaters, benches, toilets, water well, etc.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to provide 500 uniforms for the children at the orphanage and their school. In addition, we will be securing the services of a local disadvantaged women’s group to sew the uniforms. We will be hiring these women to sew the uniforms. They are sponsored by a local church that assists in providing spiritual, emotional, and physical health. It also is focused on helping the women support their families through sewing projects.

By hiring this group, we keep the money raised through this fundraiser in the local community. The uniforms will then be donated to the orphanage and school. 100% of these funds go to the community.

The goal is to raise sufficient funding to pay for 500 uniforms for the kids (both girls and boys).

Each uniform is around $10. That includes material and labor.

Uniforms for girls include a collared shirt and a jumper. Uniforms for the boys include a collared shirt and shorts.

*If we exceed our goal we will put the extra towards adding shoes with the uniforms. The shoes roughly cost $5-8 each.
