Drought Relief for Uganda

There is a terrible drought in Uganda right now. It has not rained in a year and people are dying like animals.
Mothers are leaving their children on the doorstep of our orphanage because they can't feed them. Over 60 children have been abandoned. Some of them have already died from starvation and typhoid.

Because of the typhoid, we had to take 25 children to the hospital while the others are sleeping on the floor of the church trying to survive. The hospital fees are mounting.

In the midst of this, the borehole that we drilled has broken and has to be fixed. In the meantime, we have to bring water in by truck and build cisterns because there is no water anywhere for miles.

There is no food. People are eating grass and plants and are getting sick from it, hoping for a single bowl of porridge for the day. The only food is the sacks of flour and rice that we are able to bring in.

This village once was dominated by witchdoctors who used these children for child sacrifices until we ran them out and established a church, orphanage and school. Now they are telling people that the drought is a result of the demonic spirits being angry because the village turned to Jesus. We are fighting not only the lack of food and water, but the demonic forces that are trying to take back the heart and soul of this village.

We  cannot do this on our own. We desperately need help from our friends. I don't know what else to say.
Please consider giving something to help.

These people are dying every day but you can save their lives by giving us the resources to purchase the food, water, medicine, and other necessities to keep them alive until we can get through this.

I will keep you informed of the updates as they come in.

May the Almighty God who blesses your seed, multiply your blessings upon you.

Thank you,
