To My Family, Friends, and Supporters,
I am on a quest to head to the USA Track Cycling Nationals in Rock Hill, South Carolina, August 22-24. Due to the lack of track cycling sponsorship in the cycling world, we need help getting there.
Track cycling is a FAST & FURIOUS sport. It takes place on a "Velodrome" with steep banks of 28 degrees up to about 45 degrees all the while racing on a "fixed-gear" bike (meaning no brakes), speeding around at about 50mph!
Racing Nationals this year is a must in order to have the chance to race the Pan-Am games the following year as well as a few possible world-cup races. With an ultimate goal of competing at the highest of levels at the World Championships and the Olympics in a few years, Nationals is where it starts and we can only get results if we show up.
Ian will be joining me as my biggest supporter in Rock Hill! If it weren't for him, I know I would not be where I am at today. He got me jump started in my cycling career.
I am asking for donations in order to cover the expenses of getting out to South Carolina and back to Kansas, for the races, car rental, lodging, and some food.
