Can You Help Save My Brother’s Life?

My name is Mohamed Al-Zubeiri. I am reaching out today with hope, faith, and a heavy heart, asking for your support to help save my brother’s life.

My brother, Esam Al-Zubairi, who is in his 50s, has recently been diagnosed with advanced nasopharyngeal cancer (Stage IV). Medical reports confirm that the tumor has spread to critical areas near the base of his skull and surrounding tissues. Most recently, it has begun pressing on the optic nerve, causing him to lose vision in his right eye.

Esam’s treatment cannot wait. Every week without it risks more vision loss, further progression of the disease, and a reduced chance of recovery.

After losing our father, Esam quietly became the one who held everything together. He worked to provide for his wife and four children, took care of his siblings, and carried the weight of the entire household without ever complaining or asking for anything in return. That is the kind of man he is. And now, for the first time in his life, he needs us.

We are from Yemen, a country that has endured years of war and economic hardship. Like many families, we are facing extremely difficult living conditions, making it nearly impossible to afford life-saving treatment.

I am currently living in the Netherlands, where I am still receiving social assistance. I am actively looking for work and doing voluntary activities, but despite all efforts, I am not in a financial position to support my brother’s treatment.

With great difficulty, we have managed to send Esam to India, where he is now preparing to begin his treatment journey.

Doctors have recommended an urgent and intensive treatment plan, including chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and continuous medical monitoring and tests. They have told us that the chances of success are high, which gives us real hope during this difficult time. However, treatment must begin as soon as possible to prevent the disease from progressing further.

Estimated Treatment Costs Breakdown:

Initial medical evaluation and tests: $2,000

Chemoport procedure (for ongoing treatment): $1,800

Chemotherapy (multiple cycles): approximately $2,100 – $3,000

Radiotherapy (full course): $4,500

Immunotherapy (per cycle): approximately $4,000 – $6,000 per session

In addition to these core treatments, there are essential ongoing and unpredictable costs such as:

Repeated medical tests and scans during treatment

Medications and supportive care

Possible complications requiring additional care

Because of these factors, the total estimated cost ranges between $15,000 and $20,000 USD.

At this moment, the only obstacle standing between Esam and his chance to recover is the cost of treatment.
