UNCO Mens Rugby: Road to Nationals

University of Northern Colorado Men’s Rugby Club is headed to the National Playoffs April 18th-19th in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania!!!!

 

What an incredible season this year has been with the team entering as underdogs in the Frontier Collegiate Conference Playoffs. We came in as the team with nothing to lose, beating UCCS 41-14 moving us into the finals against RRCC, and showing them what we are made of with a 41-20 victory!!!! We then advanced to Regional Finals in Austin, Texas against Southern Methodist University, beating them 30-22. We have grown so much over this season, from seeing new faces at the start of this year to becoming a family with one another. UNCO Rugby has become more than just a sport for us, but a place where we can bond and help each other with any problems or obstacles we might be facing.

 

We have created this “gofundme” page to ask for financial support for our team’s travel expenses to the National Championship. We do receive a small amount of funding from our university, but since we found out that we made it to regionals, and now finals, it has given us very little time to raise money for our trip to the NSCRO (National Small College Rugby Organization) National Championship. Any support you can offer will benefit our team with the next step in becoming National Champs.
