Ursel's Medical trip to Honduras

Hello,
My name is Ursel Khan and I am a pre-Med student from Mansfield TX. In the spring of 2018, a student-led medical service volunteer group, Global Medical Brigades, is heading to Honduras to offer much needed medical care for the surrounding communities.
As a person who aspires to become a physician, this would be a great opportunity for me to serve an under resourced community with limited to no access to medical care and work alongside excellent physicians. One of my career goals is to work in humanitarian clinics in the United States and abroad to serve underprivileged communities.
In Honduras, I will be working in a clinic that offers dental and medical care along with medical workshops for the children in the area. A majority of my time will be spent in triage where I will be recording patient vitals and their chief complaint. I will also be leading workshops on basic dental care, personal health, and preventative care. The specific location in Honduras has not been determined as of now, but I will update the page once that decision has been made.
The money raised will go to my travel expenses, lodging, food, security, and transportation around the area. I am extremely grateful for any contribution no matter what the size. Your help and support would mean a great deal for me. Each donation gets me one step closer to realizing my goals.
