Two Houstonians Displaced by Harvey

Me and my brother have been displaced by Hurricane Harvey in the west area of Houston near Katy. We are temporarily sheltered by FEMA and are trying to find a place to move to and replace a small portion of what was lost by the flooding.

We're raising funds to cover unexpected moving costs, the replacement of one uninsured vehicle, and a portion of other significant losses like clothes, personal property, etc.

We don't know the extent of the damages and we don't know if we'll be able to access or retrieve any property for the next 1-3 months, but we do need to move and replace a vehicle ASAP. Apartment renter's insurance is not going to cover any property loss. Total financial impact to us could range in between $6,000-$40,000 to get us back to where we were.

The soonest we could get funds it would help - right now is a day-to-day challenge to get basic needs while also trying to cover uninsured medical costs and find a way to relocate. We will be withdrawing the funds rapidly, probably on a daily basis, because the costs of relocation and temporary survival are hitting us continuously.
