Update for Maria Turrubiartez!

Maria is very thankful for all the donations received from so many people she does not know. She is hoping to receive the funds to help rebuild a new home. She is still doing her best to get by each day as she is staying with family members at the moment. She hopes to get a new home within the upcoming months and get her life back together before Hurricane Irma. She is hoping to put a down payment on a new mobile home with the donations received. She needs a minimum of $2,000 for the down payment so the donations are going to help significantly! She thanks each and every person who has helped her during this time and wishes she could thank you all in person!


Maria Turrubiartez of Immokalee, Florida lost everything from Hurricane Irma. 

She lived in her trailer home for 25 years and it was the place she called home. Luckily, before the hurricane she evacuated to north Florida but she quickly found out that she was no longer coming back to a home. Maria is currently staying with family but said she misses walking through the door of her own home.

Maria said she found out through photos that her trailer was completely taken from Hurricane Irma. She said she tried taking as many things as she could because she knew there was a possibility that her home could be ruined. 

Although, she took many items she wasn't able to take everything. Picture albums lay opened as the sun shined the following day. Kitchen dishes lay perfectly untouched and others were shattered.
