<div>Yesterday our family received the gut-wrenching news that our beautiful Kylie May was confirmed to be one of the victims in the Tumbler Ridge school shooting. She was just 12 years old. We are completely devastated and have no words as we try to process the magnitude of the situation.

<div>Our immediate family is located on Vancouver Island as am I, but my sister just recently moved back home after being in Tumbler Ridge for nearly 12 years. She hasn't seen her daughter in a few months. Her son, Kylie's brother who just flew back up north from Vancouver Island, will need his mom more than ever right now. Kylie's dad and step mom are caring for her brother and step brother right now, and their world, our world, has crumbled.

<div>This Go Fund Me will be managed by myself and go to support my sister Desirae, my nephew Ethan, his dad &amp; stepmom, and any family immediate needs such a travel cost or expenses in the coming weeks and months. It will allow grieving family members to not worry about the financial burden of being away from work while they morn the loss of our sweet Kylie. We will also be using some of the funds for a memorial for Kylie or as her parents see fit to remember the beautiful, kind, innocent soul she was. Those details will be worked out at a later date after we have all had time to process what's happened.
