Dear Oom Yung Doe Students and Friends,
We are two students at the Oom Yung Doe school in Somerville, Massachusetts passionate about martial arts and improving ourselves and others.
The recent COVID-19 pandemic has impacted all of us. Some have been personally impacted by the virus itself, some have felt the very real struggle of isolation, and some have lost jobs. In these trying times, everyone needs this practice more than ever before.
At some point in our training, we've all experienced someone who has lifted us up at the precise moment we needed a hand. We are a community. We help each other. Right now, there are students in our community who are feeling the financial pinch of the current economic uncertainty and cannot afford to continue their training.
In light of this, we have created an emergency tuition relief fund. If you are in a position to help, please consider making a donation. The suggested donation is $50. Give more, give less, every penny helps.
In addition, our incredible instructor team has generously offered to match whatever funds are raised.
