Help Troy Morins 5 beautiful kids!

Let me say a HUGE thank you to everyone that has helped Troys family during this difficult time! Troy has proven to be such a fighter. I truly believe that his love for all 6 of his kids has given him a strong will to live!
Troys family has started a page on Facebook for updates, Support Troy Morin. You can still get daily updates on his progress.
For those of you that don't know me well..... Here's two things about me:
1. I have a strong passion for helping others, where help is needed!
I believe in helping each other, as life throws us curve balls.
2. I have been a huge part of Troys kids lives for the past 10 years.
I'm blessed to be in their lives and watch them grow!
So as I was searching for a way to help, I realized these kids need our love & support too. Over the past year they have suffered & struggled. Going without things that we take for granted on a daily basis. Dawn, their Mom, has done her very best to provide for them. But there's only so much a single Mom with 5 kids can do. She works part time, while the kids are in school. She hopes to soon return to her career as a lawyer. Right now her kids are her first priority!
Dawn moved to Michigan with Troy years ago before having kids. Therefore, she has no family here in Michigan. She can't take on a full time career as she has to care for the kids. Their youngest daughter, Aurora, is a cancer survivor! She's a miracle! Diagnosed with Neuroblastoma as a infant! Aurora still requires several medical appts a week, mostly at DeVos.
Quite honestly..... I'm not sure how she does it & she does it so well! She's a great Mommy! She never does for herself, just her kids!
Troy, Dawn & the kids sure have been through their share of difficult times. Things no little kids should have to endure. Even living without the basic things in life, they are full of spunk, laughter & Joy!
So here is how we can help Troy's kids,
Troy has made 1 major request, and that's to see his kids.
But the trek to Ann Arbor for a day is not cheap. At least not for a Mom with 5 kids. It's hard enough on her to get her rent paid. There's no money left for anything extra! Dawn does not have a reliable vehicle. So we'd need to rent or Borrow a car. Gas & food would also need to be covered. It would be great, if we could help with a night stay at the Med Inn(at the hospital)$75.
Not necessary but it would be great to give them the most time possible with their Daddy! We would love to raise enough to send them there for Thanksgiving!
Here's another way we can help Troys kids....
The holidays are fast approaching.... For most that's a joyful time. Unless your a Mom with Five young kids and hardly any means to provide a Christmas. Last year was a rough Christmas. One of the things the younger girls asked, was why do some kids get great things at Christmas from Santa? How do you answer... How do you look at that young innocent face, and not want to break down in tears. Well, I know Christmas isn't about the toys.... But it is about giving. Their family has been shaken by cancer & now their Daddy in the hospital, I would love to give them a Christmas to remember! I know together we can give them a very special Christmas!
Iam hoping to work with a small local business, to have their Christmas wishes met! You will be able to bring in your gifts for the kids to this locally owned business. Details to follow next week!
You can also donate to this page, we will give the Christmas money to their Mom to buy them gifts!
I know times are tough. Money is tight. So every donation small or big is huge in the eyes of these kids! It doesn't matter if it's $2 or $5! Every little bit will make a huge difference!
