Tristen-National Games Fundraising

Dear Family and Friends -
Tristen has been chosen to represent Team Texas at the Special Olympics National Games next year, in Seattle!!!! He is one of four from Texas, one of three men, chosen to be on the Team Texas Powerlifting Team; he is currently 17, what an honor to be considered one of the three best Men to represent Texas in 2018!!!
There was an initial Fundraising Page, ran by Special Olympics of Texas, which was solely dedicated to getting Tristen to Seattle, with his Texas Team. We are humbled beyond belief, that goal was raised and funded in about 20 hours….wow… : - ) We have closed that page, since it was fully funded, we are now opening the supplemental fundraising page, which is what you are currently reading.
This Go Fund Me page, is to assist with us raising funds to offset the cost of our Family also attending with Tristen, as we will most likely need to pay more than Tristen's sponsored amount. Zsuzsi, Skyler, and Neil will need our own airfare, transportation, and accommodation, and most importantly lodging that will be conducive to Skyler’s needs. Skyler is Tristen’s biggest fan, they are more than Brother and Sister, they are best friends. Tristen’s advocacy is more so for his Sister than himself, there is no way Skyler is going to miss her Big Brother representing Texas at the National Games. Plus, she gets to see where her Brother was born, where Dad grew up, and where Mom and Dad began their life together (Seattle, WA).
Funding on this site will provide resources to Tristen's training requirements over the next year, yes; he is in training for an entire year to compete at Nationals!!! We do not pay for gym costs/memberships/etc. (we use our gym in the garage, real Texas style, 120 degrees builds character : - ) ). He will require specialty powerlifting equipment, ancillary training gear, a mandatory Training Camp in Dallas next May 2018, and most likely some decompression/physical supplementation over the next year (think fascia release treatment, massage therapy, and medical checkups for bumps and bruises and making sure we’re not pushing him past a reasonable and healthy progression plan).
Any funds donated will 100% be directed towards Tristen first, and then to supplementing our Family's costs to get to Seattle to be with him.
