My 21 year old son Trey's cancer is back and we just found out this past week he was admitted to Baptist at 2am Thursday morning. They thought they were going to have to do surgery on his back but after a full body MRI came back they realized they would have to wait. He has tumors in his neck, upper chest, between his lungs around his windpipe, in his liver, around his kidneys and in his back and abdomen. They said just the tumors in his back are up to 10 pounds. The biggest tumor in his back has put so much pressure on his spine that it broke one of the bones and the bone is pushing against his spinal cord(that's what they wanted to do surgery on but can't at the moment) plus the tumor is wrapped around nerves and the vein running to the legs causing a blood clot. They started chemo today October 8th, 2020. And he's doing good so far. He has 4 rounds of chemo to do he'll be in the hospital doing chemo for 5 days then home for 16 each time. After all the chemo then they will worry about his back. He has one of those big plastic shell looking braces that go from chest to hip that he has to wear even if he just sets up for a minute. So far he is holding up pretty good overall, he his trying to be his normal humorous self, God love him! Just wish I could take it all away and take it for myself. I don't know what to set for a goal amount so I just set something.
