Aspen Basketball European Adventure
My name is Karen and I'm a single Mom with a 12 yr old son, Trey, who is passionate about sports. He's talented in basketball, football and lacrosse and enjoys the discipline, integrity and challenges that athletics offer. He wakes up and does his pushups, sit-ups, stretching and is dedicated to a healthy diet. I am so terribly proud of him as you can imagine. He is also currently holding a 3.6 GPA
He has been training with the elite basketball team in Aspen, CO for the past 1 1/2 yrs and was asked to join the tour this summer (June 2015.) He wants to go and I am encouraging him as well.
If you've ever travelled to a foreign land, you KNOW how impactful it is ... memories of new sights, smells, tastes, etc.
Instead of giving him gifts as presents, I have promised him the gift of travel. I have scraped and scrounged up money every few months to take him somewhere new for summer, spring or winter break...
This trip is roughly $5,500 for him.
This will include 10 games over the course of 17 days.

Bavaria - Castle Nuenswanstein ,Zugspitz. Lake EIbsee, Alpine Cabins, Alpine Slides,High Alpine Rope Course "Kletterwald", Basketball Games
ULM Germany - Tallest Cathedral in Europe, All Day Tournament Games, Meals with German Players
Heidelberg & Speyer Germany - Castles, Cathedrals, Waterways, Incredible sights and History
Karlsruhe Germany - Kaiser, Old SS Headquarters, Black Forest, All Day Tournament Games, Meals with German Players
Strasbourg & Greis France - Historic
Cathedrals, Castles, French Food & Culture, Basketball Games
Paris France - Eiffel Tower, Louvre', Notre Dame, Champs Elyees, Arc de Triomphe, Lock Bridge, Waterways, Downtown Fun and Basketball Games!
A new side trip to the Beaches of Normandy to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the WWII D-Day invasion has just been added.
He is also excelling in his French classes and would LOVE the opportunity to practice there!
My son has journeyed on an emotional rollercoaster and he is now focused and disciplined. Reaching the goal and getting to watch him board that plane will be a huge milestone after what he's been through.
