Matt Treno house fire relief

My brother, Matt Treno, started the new year off in a bad way. Yesterday his house in Onamia, MN caught on fire and was completely destroyed. I am thankful he is physically safe, but there is an unbelievable amount of work that needs to be done to get things back somewhat normal. The home was insured, but the coverage isn’t going to be nearly enough to replace what he had, let alone the items that are irreplaceable.

For those of you who don’t know Matt, he has been a full time professional fishing guide for over 10 years. He has worked incredibly hard to build his business which is his entire life. He is a guy who is working before sunrise, works his tail off until after sunset, then cleans his boat late into the night so he can take clients out the next day. He had over 100 trips last year alone, many days taking two separate groups per day. He loves what he does, and puts his heart and soul into it.

Along with losing all of his possessions (furniture, clothes, appliances, literally everything in his home), this fire took a portion of his garage and a lot of his fishing gear, which is his livelihood. Matt isn’t the type of person to ask for help, but he needs it. He is starting over from scratch and needs everything. If you have anything to spare, every penny counts as we try to help Matt rebuild his home and get him back on the lake where he belongs.

Being a fishing guide in Minnesota, this is his slow season. So right now he’s spending the last of his savings to get the necessities. It’s going to be a while until he gets insurance money, and that isn’t going to cover everything.

He has immediate needs to get through this week, and the rest of the winter. Then he needs to replace his fishing gear so he can be in business when the lake opens and begin to start over. All funds donated will go directly to Matt to help with the costs of living while he has no home, as well as rebuilding his home and business.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. I’m so thankful my brother is OK, and I appreciate anything you can do to help him through this difficult time.
