Trees for Fees: raising money to save the world

Hi there, I'm asking for your help.
There is a non-profit organization named Green-pop. To put it simply they plant trees through urban greening and reforestation projects, spread environmental awareness and activate people through green festivals and workshops across Southern Africa.
They have a system which allows people to instead of paying for their ticket to one of the tree planting events normally, raise the money through other means, donate it, and it goes straight to purchasing trees and my ticket would be included in this.
Now the amount in question is a rather hefty sum but it’s not as if I’m asking to go to Coachella or Rocking the Daisies.
I need to raise 80 trees worth of money with each tree being R120. This totals to R9600. Tickets on the website cost R5500 so the ‘trees for fees’ sum is nearly double.....
But you and I are directly contributing 80 trees and then helping plant them.
I am not asking you individually to donate a ridiculous sum because I understand that most of the people watching this are just like me, skint students.
But if enough people donate a small amount it will truly make a difference.
Preserving this planet is extremely important, and I do not want to take that away from future generations, but I am one of 7.5 billion people which makes me small.
But if each person simply did something, be it small or large, then we can make a difference.
If you are unable to donate, which is completely understandable, then do the same as me, you undoubtedly know people that I don’t, people that won’t see this campaign so make your own, or host a party, a movie screening, a bake sale, make t-shirts do whatever you feel comfortable doing to raise money for a good cause.
If you are a company looking to get involved then there are sponsorship programs on the website.
I wish to attend the ‘Eden Festival of Action’ from the 7-14th of July, and so should you. I will leave a link to more information about the event down below
