Many different names for one tree that is so vitally important to the musical world.
Clarinets. Oboes. Piccolos. Strings. Pianos.
It's needed to make each one of these, plus many more.
Clarinets for Conservation works to plant hundreds of new seedlings that will grow into mature trees for the future of musical instruments and help the environment. The teaching artists partner with a secondary school to teach clarinet to youngsters. These musicians share their music through a series of concerts in local venues.
Summer 2014 is when I will be traveling to Moshi, Tazania to be a part of this organization, performing, teaching, and planting trees.
