Tracy Elaine Jacobs Memorial Fund

Donation protected

On Saturday, November 16, 2013, Tracy Elaine Jacobs passed away suddenly of a heart attack at the age of 44. She is survived by her husband, Lamont Gibson, and their two children Anaya, 15 and Nico, 5, and many family members and friends. Tracy was a loving wife, mother, daughter and sister. She always prioritized the needs of her family before her own. She shared her beautiful singing voice as an active member of her church choir. And she was well-liked by her peers and her colleagues.

Tracy was the primary financial provider for her family. By their mutual agreement, Lamont was a stay-at-home father for Anaya and Nico. Needless to say, this is devastating for them. A couple of months before her transition, Tracy's work hours were decreased and her health care benefits were reduced. It is highly likely that the decrease in income caused her to delay seeing a doctor, who could have addressed the health challenges that she had been having during the last two weeks of her life. This is tragic.

The family is now making plans for her memorial and because of the suddenness of her passing, is faced with many unexpected funeral and travel expenses. Tracy's mother, Lynn Harrison, is starting this new memorial fund to support the family in covering these costs and some of the additional expenses that will undoubtedly arise over the coming months. Any contribution that you can make would be greatly appreciated.
