Cancer seems to hit home for all of us at some point in our lives…it is so very heartbreaking. Right now I am watching two very brave and beautiful people waging the fight of their lives. Their names are James and Tracey Brown.
It has been roughly two years since Tracey was first diagnosed with breast cancer. Tracey and her family faced it head on the same way they approached life. It was a long battle with many hours of treatment ranging from radiation and chemotherapy and even included several hours in an oxygen chamber. After being declared cancer free, they thought they could breathe a little easier and start thinking about the future again.
Now, only months after being given a reason to hope, the cancer has returned with a vengeance. It has spread to her brain and other vital organs and the prognosis is not good. Tracey is currently in ICU at Banner Thunderbird and the family is making arrangements to get her back to the comfort of their home.
I know from experience that the entire process is long and painful and takes a tremendous toll on a family both emotionally and financially. While undergoing treatment, both James and Tracey have taken significant time away from work and are in need of financial assistance.
I am starting this page to help these dear friends so they can concentrate on what is truly important. James needs to be there for his wife and not worry about the financial burden that is suffocating them. These funds are to help the family in any way possible and ease their suffering in a small way.
