to all my family and friends.
I am going to Kalonga, Uganda on a Journey of Compassion, in September 2013.
I have been invited to join a team from around the world on this exciting ministry trip. Every day, we will be demonstrating the power and compassion of Jesus as we conduct mobile medical clinics, feed the hungry, pray for the sick and lead people to the Lord. I am not going to watch "“"“ I am going to do the Gospel.
The Lord has deeply stirred my heart about this Journey. I have a real hunger to minister to the poor in Uganda, many who have never heard the name of Jesus. I believe that now is God's time for me to go and participate in rescuing lives. Not only am I excited about the ministry that I will be doing in Uganda, I can hardly wait to bring it back home again!
My Needs:
I would love for my family and friends to share in this adventure with me as my support team. In this way, we can all be working together to extend God's Kingdom in Uganda. There are two ways that I am inviting you to participate:
· I need your prayer covering: leading up to the Journey, during the trip, and for the days following.
· I need to raise $4000.00 before May 15th. The earlier that I raise the money, the lower the airfare to Uganda is likely to be.
In the apostle John's letter to his friend Gaius, he encouraged him in his practice of supporting missionaries:
My dear friend, it is good that you help the brothers and sisters, even those you do not know. They told the church about your love. Please help them to continue their trip in a way worthy of God... So we should help such people; when we do, we share in their work for the truth. (3 Jn 5-8)
I am excited to have this opportunity to represent my family and friends; in a very tangible way, together we will be rescuing lives in Uganda.
