Toolbox for St Maarten

Donation protected

Here's the plan.... We give some people who lost everything a toolbox and a business plan in one page (basically: fix things for money). In theory they start with a toolbox and they become a small construction company. And who knows where it ends... There is enough construction to do...

Just like a lot of people I saw the situation on St Maarten after Hurricane Irma and I thought: "What can I do..."

We have a restaurant and we started a fundraiser... But next question, where do we donate the money to...

There are so many people in need of help, where to start...?

Well, here's a plan.... We're going to raise funds to give people who lost everything a well-equipped toolbox...

I lived for years on St Maarten and besides a lot of poor people, there are also enough rich people on the island. The rich still have money, but everyone’s home is damaged...

The idea is simple, we give some people who lost everything a toolbox and a business plan in one page (basically: fix things for money). With the money they earn they can use 50% to get food for their family and 50% they invest in better and more equipment. (Of course there is nothing now, but the economy will do its work with some help from abroad...)

In theory they start with a toolbox and they become a small construction company. And who knows where it ends... There is enough construction to do...

Let's give it a try! I live on Curacao and as soon as it is possible and safe to go to St Maarten, I will do everything to make this work...

You can donate any amount you wish. With the money I go to a local hardware store on St Maarten and I will buy a well-equipped toolbox. For about USD 500 we can really buy a serious set of equipment. So If we raise 20.000 USD we can buy 40 sets... If we raise more, we can buy more sets...

We know a lot of people on St Maarten, so we will do our utmost best to get the tools to the right people... But let’s be cynical: Even if they sell the tools... St Maarten needs tools to rebuild...

We don't need that much money... Let's give it a try...

A Toolbox for St Maarten.

So what can I do? Well, I'm an entrepreneur, and that means that I have the brains to make a plan, but also the guts the make it work...

What can you do? Share this on social media, but even better Fund me, to make it happen...

Let's give it a try...
