Together 4 Trevor is a fundraiser to help with continuing medical care and family expenses for 2 year old Trevor in Ashland County, OH.
Trevor was born July 25th 2011, to first time parents Nick and Sarah. From the beginning he has been a very happy, laid back little boy, just like his daddy.
When Trevor was 19 months old Nick and Sarah found out that they were expecting another baby! They were 5 months pregnant when Trevor started having some signs of something not being quite right.
Right around Trevor's 2nd Birthday, Trevor started having trouble with his balance and began falling a lot. He would touch the back of his head and say " head ow." He started vomiting at random times.
They decided it was time for a trip to the pediatrician. The pediatricain sent them to a neurology clinic on that Saturday. The Dr. was going to hold off for a few more weeks and then do a MRI, but Trevor started vomiting on his mom. They performed an emergency CT scan. It showed a golf ball sized tumor on his cerebellum. He had surgery to remove the tumor on that following Tuesday. They removed as much as they could see and found that it was cancerous.
Trevor is currently on an aggressive chemotherapy plan to hopefully get rid of the cancer. The plan is aggressive in general but so much more to a 2 year old.
The family is trying to avoid radiation because it would harm his growing cognitive abilities.
Trevor is handling this all very well so far. That is a blessing in all of this. He still smiles and plays like any other 2 year old. He does have some trouble walking and his speech isn't as well as it was, but all of that can be worked on with therapy.
Trevor still has several treatments to go, but by looking at the sparkle of his eyes and his smile, and with the prayers from everyone who reads this, and from the love of his family and friends,I am quite sure he will fight through this and get to be the little boy that he was meant to be.
This is not just for donations, but for prayers and for the family to know that their community and others from around the USA care and support them.
