I am setting up this Gofundme page for my Uncle Tod Hewitt. He is not one to ask for help but having faced Cancer before I really just want to make the second time much less stressful for him and his family!
Here is a little bit of his story... almost 4 years ago to date he found out that he had stage 3 rectal cancer at 42 years old and a sweet little family that is not the words you ever expect to hear. It was even one of the last things on his drs. minds they were amazed that someone that healthy would have this Terrible diagnosis! it was a huge shock to his family, and a huge burden on his bank account. They all made it and he BEAT CANCER! however in September he started having a nasty cough that would not go away...again not what you want to hear EVER but being so young its not expected the rectal cancer had come back and metastasized to his lung and possible spots on his groin. This is going to be a rough battle as he has to have chemo every two weeks and gets sick almost immediately and that last until just a few days before his next "Juice up" as he calls it. This has caused it almost impossible for him to work during his chemo time and not to mention that for safety reasons and wanting to get the most out of his treatment he is not able to go into work. Our family is doing everything possible to make this time as stressless as it can be. Any help from anyone would be amazing. He may kill me for setting up this page as i said he does not like to ask for help but He also is a very gracious person, He gives so much to his family and friends i just want to make it my mission in life to give back to him.
I also would like to make this situation less stressful on his kids Alexis who is going to be 16!! and Avery who is going to be 7, I still want them to be able to go on with life as normal as possible (Doing sports and school activities ect.)
We all know that HOPE is some of the best medicine! WE are fighting for a cure and HE WILL win this battle too!
