Tim's fight against Melanoma

In February 2015, Tim and his identical twin brother, Jim, were lifting weights and Tim's back was itching. He asked Jim to see if there was anything on his back. Jim found the mole which was black and raised. Jim took a picture of it and sent it to their niece who works at a medical clinic. She showed the picture to Tim's doctor and he told her to get Tim in as soon as possible. From there, the roller coaster ride began! After having the mole removed and tested, the dreaded diagnosis of Melanoma was given! Since then, Tim has undergone 2 surgeries with 14 lymph nodes removed! Cancer cells were found in 4 of the 14 lymph nodes and was told he was in Stage III melanoma! Due to this aggressive type of skin cancer, treatment needs to begin quickly! On April 30, 2015, Tim will travel to Houston, TX to MD Anderson in which he will go through a series of tests and get a 2nd opinion of recommended treatment to fight this horrible disease!!
To know Tim is to love him!! He is a laid back fun loving guy who is loved by all, especially his nieces and nephews! He is always willing to help anyone in need! We know God is in control and knows what the future holds. Our family's main concern needs to be focused on Tim's fight against this horrible "C" word and not the burden of medical and travel expenses!!
