My Pets' Retirement

Hello.  Thank you for taking the time to read this.  Some people know me as Mariel / @tiffany4ever on Twitter - usually retweeting animal-related tweets, other people’s fundraisers etc, and chatting or joking around with other animal lovers. I have 3 ex-breeding Shih Tzus: Chuncky, Piggles and Rocky and a rescue cat Sherlock.  However, I landed in a big financial mess after I lost my job following prolonged illness, an operation and recuperation. It cost me my marriage and I had to move back to mine old village in the Netherlands, but I get barely support from my family. They don't have pets, so I'm on my own. But pets loves you no matter what. On top of my own health issues and unemployment, every month I have had to take one of my rescue Shih Tzus or a cat to the vet. I have currently zero financial resources. Recently, while grooming my rescue Shih Tzu Chunky, I found a red lump in her ear. Cancer! She needed an operation ASAP! Although the cancer has spread, she still acts like a puppy and doesn’t appear to be in any pain. Phew. But the bill was high, which wasn’t good for my balance. But you can’t put a price on love.  Then my 19 year old cat Sherlock stopped eating. First I thought he was mourning the loss of Molly, who died a few weeks before. But no: all his teeth (except the front) had to be removed and he now needs special food. Funds were already low. But then he had an abscess right after the dental operation. He did recover, even after the vets gave up hope. And now that the wounds healed, he eats like a champ. At 19 not bad. The sound of him happily chewing his food is music to my ears. All good so far, except I ran out of money. So stupid me started to use my credit card again. Then my rescue Shih Tzu Rocky got a weird burned-looking and bald spot under his chin..again to the vet, and my credit card is now maxed out. A month past by and another setback: now my rescue Shih Tzu Piggles needs to see the vet due to skin issues (she has developed many allergies in old age - and the tests alone threaten to ruin me financially). She has also developed eye problems - just like Rocky also, by the way.  Can and will you please help us? Every €/£/$ helps while I continue my search for a new job.  And maybe, one day, you have the same problem? I will try to help you.
