Cancer messed with the wrong girl

Hello everyone,

THANK YOU  for taking the time to read this beautiful story about Tiffany and her Family written by her only son Elijiah Janello .

Tiffany Elsholz is the epitome of wonder and amazement. A mother of 5 that raised and cared for us beyond what we could ever ask for, she deserves only the best. Unfortunately, life doesn’t care who deserves what. In July of 2017, she was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer and on August 21st, 2017 she will be taking a leave of absence from her job and will be getting a double Mastectomy. As her only son, I feel as though it is my responsibility to care for my mother and ensure that she has a future for herself, her husband and her children.

For someone who has spent so much of her life giving and sacrificing, it blows my mind that even now she is reluctant to ask for help. Not out of pride or ignorance, but out of the sheer kindness of not wanting to bother others with her problems. This is a woman who, from the age of 15, had no parents, no money and what seemed like no chance. She fought every step of the way and through all the madness, she was able to create a beautiful and happy family. Our family will persevere like we have with every other challenge in our lives. But this time we need help.

As mentioned before, our family never came from a lot of money. Our parents worked hard to provide for us and although it took them working multiple jobs, day and night, we never knew how little we had. Some of us are grown and out of the house, yet the money flow never changed. Obviously, surgery is expensive and cancer treatment will only add to the costs. Plain and simple, with the double mastectomy, chemotherapy, possible radiation therapy, breast reconstruction and the medication she will have to start taking for the next 5-10 years it’s obvious that they are going to need all the support they can get.

Tiffany needs help and it’s up to us as friends, family and caring individuals to make certain that her life doesn’t have to stop here. It’s up to us to make sure that once all is said and done, they won’t be drowning in debt. Please help me to make this fight, one that Tiffany can win.
